Rain, Work and Birthday fun!

This week has been

crazy! busy!

Sunday
Firstly I would like to wish my Mum and my Nephew James a Happy 63rd and 6th Birthday for the 31st May which was a couple of weeks ago when this blog is published. I went with my Mum and Dad to a chinese buffet restaurant in Birmingham city centre (Town). We all then went to my Brother Chris' house to have a evening tea/finger food buffet to celebrate James' birthday.

Over the past few weeks me and my Dad had a plan to surprise Mum with a Kindle, I asked everybody to give Mum money in her card so we could buy a kindle with it. I pretended on the morning of her birthday to order a Kindle online. We all went out to celebrate her birthday, then to visit James. We came home and I had a birthday cake hidden in my bedroom which dad bought that morning, unfortunately I only had a big (if the electric goes) type candle for the cake. I lit it and took it in to her singing happy birthday. The look on her face was priceless!!!!

About 15 minutes later there was a knock at the door (which was actually me pretending) a package wrapped in birthday paper had been delivered (from my bedroom) I took it into the living room and gave it to her, Wow that express delivery was super quick. She didn't believe me and she had no idea what it was, as she unwrapped the package she saw it was a paperwhite touchscreen Kindle. Me and my Dad gave my Mum the thing she had wanted for so long and her smile was worth it all.

Monday

So Comfy!!
New ankle boots just because.

I went to Sam's house to spend some time with him as he has been poorly (he has IBS) we went for a nice walk to Stockland Green which is about a 15 minute walk from his house. We were going to Subway for lunch but unfortunately it was closed. rather than walking back home we carried on to the Edrington high street as there was a Subway there. On the way my feet we killing me I get this friction burn/blister thing on the ball of my foot, so I had to buy some new/ more suitable shoes to try and help ready for the walk back.

In subway I had a new beef and chorizo melt which was really nice, I wouldn't have it all the time but maybe every now and again. it was a foot long on cheese and herb bread, it is a melt so it comes cheese and toasted, i have lettuce, onion, pickles and jalepenos and south west sauce. As part of a meal deal you get a drink with it so I had a sprite and an extra cool original bag of crisps which I ate later that evening.

Sam lives by the lake in the bottom left corner.

Me and Sam were walking back home from Erdington high street and it was raining a little but nothing too worrying. Roughly 15 minutes then the heavens opened, I felt like the sky tipped a huge bucket of water over my head. I was wearing dry weather clothes, leggings, a vest, over shirt and a larger over shirt. I was soaked. In the end we phoned Sam's dad Tony to see if he would come and get us luckily he did. I got back to sams and I put my p.j's on straight away and put my clothes on the radiator to dry.

Tuesday
Work day!!
I took my Mum to the Hospital to get her hand wax treatment, I only dropped her off as I had a few errands to run. I got back to the hospital in time to pick her up. We then went into Solihull Town Centre to have a little look around the shops and pick up the last few bits for Waffle (my friend)  as it was her birthday yesterday. I will see her on Thursday to have lunch, I am unsure where we are going.

The yummy little sweet shop in touchwood

Driving home from Solihull, along Lode Lane a tree branch fell off a tree covering both sides of the dual carriageway, I was only two cars away. After the shock of watching this happen, I am a new driver and I have never seen anything like this.Myself and  Mum took a little detour and on the way home due to the tree, Mum phoned the local council to let them know. We got home and I updated Facebook and Twitter just to let people know so they can avoid that direction.

This is the picture from the tree. I got it from Facebook on the
Solihull Updates page.

I got home to have a shower and got myself ready for work and left at roughly 4.30pm traffic was busy but because I went down all of the back roads I got there at 5.10pm which is 20 minutes before my shift. I was excited for this shift I got to see some old members of staff and some new ones. I started my shift and it was really quiet, it didn't pick up until between 6pm and 7pm my support for the shift was sent home to save money and I did struggle and needed a lot of support from my other team members.

This is what my work looks like.

Finally it was home time and I dropped Karime and Samira home so they didn't have to pay for a taxi, it is only 10 minutes away so I don't mind. I got home and I was exhausted and pumped because of how hard I was working. Poor Sam got a right ear bashing while he was trying to sleep. HaHa.

Wednesday
On wednesday I woke up quite early at Sam's after a late night at work. I took my car to have it's MOT which it failed (Oh great) luckily it failed on small things, my brake pipe was a little bit loose so the mechanic fixed it, my front passenger side light was to high and slightly to the left which the mechanic also fixed I had a jelly belly car air freshener hanging from my rear view mirror which is illegal and can get you 3 points on your licence so WATCH OUT people. Then me and Sam went to tesco so Sam could get some cheap smart clothes for an adventure we are having later this week and I picked up an outfit for our day trip next week.

We then went back to Sam's house and tried on all our bits and pieces, we did have to go and change Sam's shirt but in the end it fit. I left and went to pick Mum up to continue shopping and picked up my two dresses and blazer I pre ordered from Asda. I wanted a few accessories for both dresses so I was covered. Me and Mum went to Matalan to get scarves, socks and a new                                          bag.

I got home and tried on all over my clothes and yep one dress totally didn't fit and the other one was extremely tight. I dont have the time to exchange them and I refuse to wear an old dress so I will squeeze into this blue tight boob strangling dress haha. I bought some socks to go over the top of some boots and I am hoping I look cute. There will be a blog update on my Adventures blog  with  pictures www.memyselfandcrash2.blogspot.co.uk.
