Sunday is the new Friday...

Meeting my friends for a
catch up.

A few Sunday's ago I met up with my friend Maya just for lunch, to have a catch up. We went to the local harvester pub thinking they served a carvery, which they did not. Maya being Maya suggested going to find a carvey so I informed her that there was one five minutes down the road. We ended up in the local Toby carvery and stuffed our face with food. It was so yummy we even had a pudding.

We spent roughly 2-3 hours just chilling and chatting (putting the world to rights) it was such a lovely afternoon that we arranged to meet two weeks later to do the same thing. I drove Maya to her sister in laws and tried to drive home with no Sat - Nav. I 100% got lost and drove around the same roads 3 times haha.

Two weeks flew by and it was now our 2nd date this time our mutual friend Richard AKA Bentley was coming along with us. I picked them up from the Toby Carvery we went to last time and suggested trying a different carvery called the Olton Tavern which was not far away from the Toby Carvery. We got there and sat down.

I hadn't seen bentley in more than 6 months, so it was nice to see him, we all ordered coke and a carvery. The carvery didn't look impressive and it tasted worse than it looked, which is sad to say but true. I left half of mine and so did Maya. We were talking about what we had been upto and laughing and joking, We looked at the dessert menu when Bentley suggested driving about 10 minutes away to go to a dessert place.

We arrived at Lickety Lick and it was like a 50's diner we spent roughly 3-4 hours there chatting and laughing and trying to decide what to order. I chose a cherry something Sundae, Maya had a black forest sundae and Bentley ordered a overloaded chocolate I think. They came and Mine and Maya's got mixed up and I ate all of hers so we couldn't swap.....I am sorry Maya haha.

We spent roughly an hour after eating talking about memories and reliving our laughs from years ago, taking pictures and it was just a lovely relaxed afternoon. We have arranged to meet up next week to do the same except not going to the Olton Tavern. 

I dropped Bentley into town and then dropped Maya home we sat in the car chatting about husbands, boyfriends, revising, babies and more. Maya doesn't really trust people all that much but she confided in me while we were sitting in the car and I am so glad that she has somebody she can open up to. Her Husband Jammie and Daughter Rose came back from the park and rose jumped in the car while Jammie went upstairs.

Me, Maya and Rose were playing and talking then Rose became obsessed with my car and wanted to drive (pretending obviously she is only 2). We were twisting the dials and learning about the gearstick, She loved it so much that it took a good 10 minutes to actually get her out haha. Next week I told her we can drive it to the park which I am totally excited about.
