Being Healthy!
Me in August 2011 and Me in September 2013 |
In 2012 after dieting and an operation I went down to 16 stone. I continued eating better and going for walks a few times a week and I got myself down to 14.5 stone in 2013. Since 2013 I have started work and had a medical condition which may have affected my weight. I fluctuated between 14.11 stone and 13.12 stone and have done for the last 2 years.
In April 2015 after recovering from treatment for Graves disease/ Thyrotoxicosis Me and Sam took part in a 30 day challenge only having 3 treats a week split over the 2 days. We started walking at least 5 times a week and towards the end I was starting to run. The challenge finished in the beginning of May and we weighed ourselves and we both lost 1.3 stone.

Me June 2013 |
Since doing the 30 day challenge I have had birthday meals, meals out with friends and family so I have been struggling to get back focused. I have now started working again so I am finding less time to exercise because I'm tired and aching from work.

These of course are all excuses and once I have enough money I am going to join the gym and I have already started enforcing a dietish plan. I will start my main diet once all these birthdays are finished so the end of June. I hope I have enough money around that time to join the gym. Until then I am going to squeeze in a few walks and work which is so fast passed I am going to class it as exercise.
Crisps,
Chocolate,
Bread,
White rice/pasta,
Fizzy pop,
Butter,
Cooking Oil,
Fried food,
Pork,
Chips,
Sweets.
Exercise I take part in:
Walking around parks,
Wii fit,
Walking to the local shop,
Squats,
Running.
Over the years I have been to see many different dietitians and nutritionist and the most recent one told me I already have a good idea of how food works with my body. So although I am not a specialist I do know what is right for me and what isn't. Every body's body works differently and people enjoy different things so a book or fad diet can't help everyone. Sometimes just good simple watching what you eat (a food diary can help) and exercising a little bit everyday and you will become healthier and hopefully loose weight.
I also think feelings play a huge part in weight loss, if you are depressed or any other negative emotions all you want to do is curl up and not worry about the chocolate cake you're eating or go out into the world running. Then when you don't exercise or "cheat" during your diet it make you feel worse and then the cycle begins again.
